damn. they always want you to pay with cash too so I couldn't even dispute the charge if I had them tested back home at the local shops I just know if I could find a reputable place or at least one that takes credit cards that I could get a great price or at least have a back up if I get screwed So many places sell silver and gold there that they are even nestled in the touristy place which i for sure will avoid but ill probably get a local guide if anything just for that

You're assuming that only poorfags live in poor countries. There are plenty of middle and upper class people that want to protect their wealth so fees are not an issue. 1 US Dollar was worth under 500 Nigerian Naira in 2023 and it rocketed up to as high as 1700 NGN before settling at around 1300 now. If I lived in Nigeria, all my non-discretionary spending money would be parked in bitcoin or stablecoins even if exchange fees are high.
