Well when the rate the government sets feeds back into government spending its a interest doom loop that is totally avoidable by just simply setting the interest rate to 0. We could cut 2 trillion of government spending right now by just cutting rates to zero and the voters would literally lose nothing. Expect for the voters that put their savings in treasuries lol.
