I was going to write a long response about divorce, but to put it simply it's funny that divorce courts are so hard up about doing what's best for the child. If that's the case, the government should get involved in marriages on day 1 and stipulate income expectations, custody, childcare. Why are married parents given the freedom to make decisions that negatively impact their children? If it's all about the children, then the state shouldn't wait until divorce to do what's best for the child.
