There is no intentional suppression, the market just doesn't see the value in LINK. Coins can withstand BTC dumping with no issues and continue moving up, see Lighter this past week for example. Many such examples over the years, SOLUNAVAX, MATIC in May 2021 etc. It is more plausible that whales who move the crypto market signal things to eachother by moving the price of LINK from time to time by choice.
